Жертва послепутчивских правительственных чисток, учитель литературы Озгюр Доган умер на 43 году жизни после запоздалого освобождения из тюремного заточения.
Сообщается, что онкологическое заболевание мужчина обнаружил в заключении, а когда болезнь достигла последней стадии руководство тюрьмы Кырлар в Измире выпустило Догана на свободу после общественного давления.
Больного учителя, осужденного по делу о связях с движением Гюлена, освободили 12 сентября 2019 года, однако запоздалое освобождение и лечение не привели к успеху в борьбе с раком. У Догана остались жена и трое детей.
«Печальные вести. Столько жизней разбито. Надеюсь, парламент не оставит это без внимания», – прокомментировал в Твиттере смерть учителя известный правозащитник, депутат парламента от ДПН Омер Фарук Гергелиоглу.
